Previous Coaching: Pike High School Varsity Boys Basketball

​

Coach Bill Zych is entering his first year as varsity boys basketball coach, and thirty sixth year overall. Prior to his arrival, he was the head coach at Pike for thirteen years where he won six sectionals, and was state runner up in 2012. In all Coach Zych has won eleven sectionals, two regionals, and one semi-state. He has coached two first round NBA selections, Marquis Teague (University of Kentucky, drafted by Chicago Bulls) and RJ Hunter (Georgia State, drafted by Boston Celtics).

Coach Zych went to La Porte High School, graduated from Manchester College, and has his Master’s Degree from Indiana University. His wife, Janet, is a retired elementary school teacher. They have two grown children. Stephen, who is married to Julie, resides in Carmel, Indiana with their son, Cameron and daughter Whitley. Allysa, their daughter, is married to Jack Ulrich, and have a daughter, Vivienne. They reside in Los Angeles, California.
